HOME MEET VS. EDGEHILL EELS 6/15

    🐊🏊 It’s Our First Home Meet! 🏊🐊

    🎶 keep swimming, just keep swimming… 🎶

Our first home meet is almost here, and we can’t wait to see our Gators in action! Whether you're a seasoned swim family or experiencing your very first meet, it's going to be a fun evening full of fast swims, loud cheers, and plenty of team spirit.

📣 Please keep reading for all the important meet details below. 📣

As we get ready to take on the Edgehill Eels, one of the most important things our swimmers can do is hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Please encourage your Gators to drink LOTS and LOTS of water throughout the day tomorrow and Monday

    🏊Athlete Arrival

    • Swimmers arrive by 4:30 PM for warm-ups.
    • Swim deck setup is for swimmers ONLY. If your child is old enough, we prefer that they stay on deck with the coaches during the meet. If they sit in the field with you, please pay extra close attention to events information and when the coaches are calling for athletes.
    • Clerk of Course - Our clerk of course area is TIGHT and it can get chaotic with too many people hanging around. If you accompany your swimmer to clerk of course, please do not stay once they are in a row. Of course, we understand if there are tears, but generally, please do the good ol' daycare drop and goooo.
    • Please write event/heat/lane info on your swimmer’s hand!

    Spectator Tent/Chair Setup

    • Parents and spectators will set up in the field.
    • Do NOT place tents directly against the fence—we need a walkway. If you do, we’ll kindly ask you to move.
    • Our team needs access to the outlets for gear so please bring battery-operated fans only.
    • Please do not set up tents before 12PM!

    Gator Grill

One of the best parts of Monday meets? You don’t have to cook dinner!
Julie Grimm and her awesome concessions crew will be ready to feed you.

    Volunteers

    • Please check in with Brittany upon arrival.
    • Grill Masters: Arrive by 4:15 PM.
    • First session concessions: Head over by 4:30 PM—those swimmers come out of warm-ups hungry.
    • Second session: Jobs switch after breaststroke (event 30). Please be ready to step in!

    🐊Additional Reminders

    • Trash: Please pick up allllll trash before heading out (including your swimmer's area on deck).
    • Sunscreen & Bug Spray: You’ll need it. You’ll want it.
    • Bathrooms: Please use the outside bathrooms, unless you’re volunteering to clean the inside ones Tuesday morning😉.

    Admin Notes

Volunteering: As a smaller team this year, we have very little flexibility when it comes to filling volunteer positions. Throughout the season, we may need to ask for additional help to ensure our meets and team activities run smoothly.

When volunteer needs are shared, please consider signing up if you are able. We cannot begin and/or continue a meet until all required volunteer positions are filled.

Your support and willingness to help make a tremendous difference. It does not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything our Gator families do to make the season a success!

Swim Suits: Our team suits are still in transit. If you do not have your team suit yet, please wear a black or green swimsuit if possible. As soon as the suits arrive, we will work to distribute them immediately.

Merchandise Pickup: If you have not picked up your team T-shirt and/or merchandise yet, please find Jessica Brown during our home meet on Monday. She will be happy to help get your items to you.

As always, if you have any questions - don't hesitate to reach out!

See you at the swamp. GO GATORS!!💚💦
