    Halfway Notes

    Good Morning Gators Nation!

I have some notes as we hit our half way mark of the season. (I’m sorry I’m WAY less entertaining than Cassie.)

    Volunteers:

Parents, your support and involvement are crucial to the success of this team. As we face challenges with volunteer gaps this year, we need you to step up and fill those positions to ensure the smooth running of our meets. Your dedication and commitment make a significant impact on our athletes and the entire team. Let's fill those volunteer gaps!

    Board members:

Joining the board for next year is an opportunity to make a real difference and shape the future of our swim team. With the loss of two members last year, we are in need of 2 to 3 dedicated individuals to bring in fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. It may seem daunting but just like a single mom of two has successfully taken on this challenge, you too can contribute your skills, ideas, and energy to drive positive change and growth within our team. Your voice matters, and your unique perspective will be a valuable asset to our team. Remember we do all this for the kids!

    The-Dye and Food truck:

We heard your feedback loud and clear from last year, and we are thrilled to announce that we are stepping up our game for the upcoming tie-dye event. Say goodbye to the lack of concessions because this year, we are bringing in not just one, but two fantastic food trucks to satisfy your cravings. We will have Piha Aloha (Hawaiian food truck) and Mini Smile Donuts (dessert food truck) Stay tuned as we will be posting the mouth-watering menu later this week and running a poll to gauge the numbers to let the food trucks know.

    Items Need:

Our microwave broke last night with the amount of pretzels Rachel has sold, and our printer is starting to act up. If you have a microwave or printer laying around the house that you don’t need and would like to donate to the Gators that would be phenomenal.

    Recruiting:

We are proud to share that this year, we have opened up our swim team to welcome a select number of kids from outside the neighborhood. Please help spread the word to friends and families in the community for next year.

Lastly, I want to take an opportunity to say thank you to the current board members. The dedication you put forward for the kids and the team is unmatch to anything I’ve seen. Thank you!!
