The time has come. This will be our LAST informational communication of the season. Try to keep it together, no crying in swimming. I made it extra long and extra special for you.

Ok, here we gooooooo. 

Champs Meet Information - WEAR THOSE TIE DYED SHIRTS! 

Location: 757 Aquatic Center, 5720 Warhill Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23188

(1) Concessions will be provided by Williamsburg Community Pool. They’ve agreed to provide this service on behalf of Villages of Westminster, the Champs host team. Concessions will be served in accordance with JCC special event concession guidelines. We will provide more information later this week on specific items, if we have that available. We encourage all teams and families to pack coolers with water! The MAP shows food trucks, there will be NO FOOD TRUCKS. 

(2) The swimmers’ entrance to the pool will be through the double doors on the 757 Patio (see attached map).

(3) Families may park in the WISC parking lot but should not walk through the WISC facility to reach the pool building at the back. Please ask families to walk around the outside of the building to reach the pool.

(4) Parents/spectators may enter the pool building to watch their swimmers’ events through the 757 Lobby (see attached map). Once their swimmer's event has concluded, they should exit through the back right door of the pool (see attached map).

(5) VPSU will not be printing programs this year. A digital copy of the program will be online. There will also be a QR code provided to access the program. Signs with the QR code will displayed throughout the pool facility.

First Session Warm Ups (11 & Up): 7:20AM - 7:40AM, arrival by 7AM

Second Session Warm Ups (10 & Under): 11:20 - 11:40AM, arrival by 11AM

Volunteers - WE NEED YOUR HELP - PLEASE SIGN UP VIA SWIMTOPIA. I especially need a few great clerk of courses for second session. I'm not going to lie, it will be HOT and probably a tad miserable. If you clerk with me on Saturday for the PM session, I will have your beverage of choice waiting for you at the banquet on Sunday. Kind of like a this Bud's for you Mr./Mrs. yeller at the crazy children running around asking you when they are swimming and lining them up and you yelling their name and them not responding but standing right beside you and just staring at you with a blank facial expression and then you telling them to sit and then them asking you again what they are swimming and you telling them and then them saying OK, but you said my name wrong.....this Bud's for youuuuuuuu. 

Set Up: Our team will have tents set up (see attached map). We may have less space than awards meet, so please be cognizant of what you bring. This space needs to be protected for our swimmers because it is going to be HOT. Wagons go OUTSIDE the tent area. Extended family is welcome, but please ask them to bring their own shade. If we do only have space for four tents, it is for swimmers, coaches, adults in charge of the swimmers and the siblings who are forced to be there. We will try to get some more space, but no guarantees. We are NOT permitted to bring in any chairs or set up inside the 757 Aquatic Center. It's a watch and go format. 

RELAYS: If your swimmer is in a relay (Coach Jenna will let you know this) - they take place at the START of the second session (Events 31-34).

Gators Awards Banquet is this Sunday 5-7PM at the GSW clubhouse. Our banquet volunteers are doing an awesome job planning, so please purchase your tickets online at the team store NO LATER THAN TODAY for your peeps and don't forget to add on a gift for the amazing coaches if you are able. As we mentioned before, if you have a photo of your swimmer that you would like displayed as part of the decor for the banquet, please email that by today as well to: [email protected].
