Good Sunday Gators, 

Well, the swim gods were not in our favor on Friday...so we swim Wednesday! Get ready for back to back to back swim meets. We can do ittttttttt. 

This communication will have information for both meets and t -shirt distribution, so please read all the way...to...the..end. 

First and most importantly, please let Coach Jenna know ASAP about meet participation for Monday and Wednesday if you have not already. She will need to know if your child CANNOT participate in either meet. 

Wednesday's Meet 6/21 @ Powhatan Sea Stars

 Please see our original email / facebook post from last week - nothing has changed. All volunteer shifts will remain the same, so please let us know ASAP via email ([email protected]) if the schedule change impacts your availability to volunteer and we will try to help get your shift swapped for another meet. Jenn Ericsson WILL be at this meet, so if you are volunteering - please check in with Jenn when you arrive. 

Monday's Meet 6/19 HOME Vs. First Colony Information 

Athlete Arrival: 4:30 PM for wam-ups - swimmers ONLY may set up their personal items on the swim deck. If your child is old enough, we prefer for the kids to all be on deck with the coaches during the meet. Our swimmers set up under the trellis thingy where all the round tables are. 

Spectator Tent/Chair Set Up: Parents and spectators set up in the field PLEASE DO NOT SET YOUR TENT UP DIRECTLY AGAINST THE FENCE - WE NEED A WALKING PATH. If you do, we will ask you to move. Also, our team needs the outlets for gear set up so any fans you bring need to battery operated. If you are using an outlet we may need on deck you run the risk of it being unplugged and tossed back to you. Consider this your warning and invest in batteries. 

Volunteers: You will be checking in at the VOLUNTEER CHECK IN TENT with Jenn Ericsson our Volunteer Meet Director. Please check in as soon as you arrive regardless of first or second session. The tent will be located right at the front entrance to the pool - you can't miss it. Please be ready to go in your volunteer spot on time so we don't have to call your name on the speakers....avoid the walk of shame.

Timers: please listen for the timers meeting to be called about 15 minutes before the start of the meet. If you are a first session timer, please do NOT leave until the second session person has relieved you. If someone doesn't show, we will find them.  Second session timers, please do not leave your first session timer hanging! 

First Session Concessions People: Please go to concessions by 4:45PM. Rachel has a five michelan star Gator Grill and those swimmers come hungry after warm ups. 

Second Session People: We switch jobs over after breaststroke (event 30) - please be paying attention and be ready to take over for the first session peeps. 

Additional Reminders: 

Trash: We love your precious little swimmers, but they can be messy. Before you leave the meet, please help your swimmer clean up their area on deck and in the field. If we are doing it at 10PM with flashlights we will be putting hexes on all your houses under our breath. 

Sunscreen / Bug Spray: YOU WILL NEED IT YOU WILL WANT IT. If you need help on a bug spray brand, ask Stacia - she hates bugs more than anyone I know. 

I *think* we have all of the boring stuff out of the way...so now on to our T-shirts. 

Merch:

We will be distributing the team shirst to everyone who registered or ordered by the deadline in the clubhouse tomorrow morning from 8AM - 10AM. If you or your swimmer cannot pick up your t-shirt then, no worries - we will try to have them available at the meet as well.
